CONGRATULATIONS to the Peacock Pride on their Twentieth Annual Children's Theater Workshops. The purpose of these workshops is to acquaint young people with great literature, to have the opportunity to gain a sense of self-confidence, to develop better communication skills, and to learn from a faculty of versed professionals. This year the theme of the first session will revolve around the musical, "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie. The second session is devoted to "The Tempest", theater arts of Shakespeare's time.
Classes in acting, singing, dancing, costume, make-up and technical design will be offered. Our classes are exciting, invaluable activities that will enrich your child's life. They will work on the basics, characterization, movement, speech, diction, and improvisation. They will learn music and dances of the era. Such as Morris and Garland dancing. They will create stage makeup and dress in costumes of the times and be prepared to show case their talents on stage!
